An environmental-friendly sphalerite depressant (2

Generally, sphalerite and galena have good floatability with xanthate, while pure sphalerite doesn't response well to short-chain xanthate [4].However, the incorporation of impurity ion in sphalerite crystal such as Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Hg and Pb could enhance the reactivity of xanthate with sphalerite, which is also called self-activation [5], [6], [7].

Sphalerite (sp/blende)

Low reflectance, among the lowest of the sulphides, R sp ≈ R wf (almost identical, cf. Fig. 114.4a), similar but lower than mt, slightly > gth and distinctly > cst (cf. multispectral comparative plots). In addition: the subjective perception depends very much on the environment.
